The Biophilic Theory states that we are happiest when we are surrounded by nature.
My aim is to design a vibrant, stimulating and environmentally conscious space that functions as a centre for growing crops using indoor hydroponic systems. The beauty of hydroponic systems is that it enables us to grow any seasonal fruit, vegetable or plant all year round. And when this process is localised it can dramatically reduce carbon emissions.
The proposed design will bring agriculture to the city to offer new forms of relationships with food, health and wellbeing through the power of nature. It will be a place for visitors explore the benefits of modern day agriculture and inspire them to improve their lifestyles and in doing so help improve the environment all year round.
