This product concept is in response to a competition held by the RSA Student Design Awards, category ‘Sleep Matters’.

In this project I sought to control mobile usage before going to sleep and so I  designed a night light that doubles as a speaker system and charging dock for the phone. The NightBean is to work in conjunction with a phone app that I also designed, where the user can customise the device’s light settings in terms of colour and brightness, and set an alarm to wake up in the morning (in this case the light will slowly turn on and change brightness to a calmer wake up).
